Reimagining Public Spaces

Tibbets Corner in Wandsworth is an uninviting maze of interconnecting subways. How can we change the perception of intimidating urban spaces we are forced to have regular encounters with?

In a gorilla, social experiment I covered the dim lights with multi coloured photographic gels, to bring a brightness and warmth to the space. I watched as locals stopped and smiled in a space they’d previously be speed walking through. One small change that transformed a dark, cold environment into something to be enjoyed.
